The Miller Creek 7th grade teachers, Sue Holland, Janice Woods, and Erik Lunde, took the arm lesson from the September PD and transformed it into a bio-engineering lesson for the students to showcase their knowledge of how the arm works in creating a prosthetic arm. Video's from year 2 iteration!

Ramina Winton and I had a fun afternoon building in the Davidson shop. Adam SInger is a patient teacher and very knowledgeable about his craft. Now Ramina is ready to build some truss bridges. Ramina also learned that the Dollar Store sells signs with craft sticks attached that can work when you need craft sticks in a pinch!
Here is a TED-ED video with all the vocabulary about earthquakes that we learned about this summer during our training. The video is a great watch for all teachers, but might be hard to grasp for elementary students.
