Manor 4th graders have a try at their first parachutes... they did not work so well. Students first iteration: Some added more load, some changed the canopy, and some shortened the shroud lines.
Eddie Gutierrez's 5th grade class experimented with parachutes in class. They all made a parachute to the same specifications. They used what they discovered to design a parachute that will carefully carry an egg safely to the ground. (see videos below)

This ties in very nicely with the parachute lesson from January. 3-5 grade teachers check it out!
