" I use Teaching Channel all the time. It has been a huge influence on my practice as has some of the videos NSTA puts out. I watch all the science NGSS stuff, assessing, ESL engagement, etc." Sue Holland, 7th grade, Miller Creek Middle School

It's worth it to spend a few moments checking out the videos sent by email each week. They delve into such topics as mindfulness in the classroom, assessment ideas, engineering. They also have a section called "deep dive" that lets you explore an idea in more depth. The site is well organized and teacher friendly. The link is for the Deep DIves, which explore all kinds of important teaching topics.

Thanks for sharing this! I am always looking for more video resources to use in science. It can be a challenge to weed through all the videos on youtube to find something worthwhile. I'll definitely be using this resource in the future.

Very useful videos. I chose to watch the video on the engineering process in a middle school classroom even though I teach fourth grade . The level of sophistication in the project was much more complex but the foundational engineering process is the same. It reminded me what areas of the design and engineering process that I still need to develop in my classroom. Also, I watched the video on teamwork and was further reminded to reintroduce the idea of developing roles within teams.

I love this site! I will be using the Tweet exit slip idea immediately. I love the variety on this site -- for students and teachers both. Thanks, Sue.
