I picked two primary colors to see if the children would notice when the colors blended as the cars moved down the ramp. It didn't take long for it to happen!

Love the rubric. I will use the framework and tweak it just a bit for our race car challenge. I especially appreciate the "works responsibly in a group" section. This was a particularly difficult area for many that were successful in the overall challenge. When I told my students that they were going to be "graded" on teamwork they were more motivated to participate and listen to others. With this rubric there is evidence that this is part of the "grade."
