3rd Grade at Glenwood School worked on Earthquake Structures. Here are some pictures along with a couple slow motion videos. They were filmed using the SloPro app on an iPad. I was a part of this team. In my class, we went over earthquake-resistant buildings before building the earthquake towers so that the kids had some ideas about how to start building. For instance, we talked about truss and cross-bracing. The year before, I didn't introduce these terms and some of my groups of kids had a hard time getting started.
