Marin Municipal Water District has educational resources, maps, and provide school assemblies. Robert Atkinson, 4th grade teacher at Brookside states, "We had an assembly from their school education program which was really great. They gave all the teachers a deck of wonderfully illustrated water cards with some fun activities."

Loved meeting with the west marin watershed folks at our last meeting, their expertise is invaluable and our previous collaboration day materials inspired great classroom discussions and experimentation

Thanks for the this post, we used to do a field trip with them, but stopped a couple of years ago. I want to reach out to them again this year for a school assembly or have them come into the classroom when we talk about the water cycle and weather unit.

MMWD has awesome resources and some of the new resources meet the NGSS standards. I use it for my Creek Club and have experts come and speak to the kids.

We also had an assembly given by the Marin Water District. Their delivery has humor as well as valuable information. The water conservation reminders are important to keep sharing. Their information inspires class discussion as to engineering drought related solutions. Works well with the Weather Unit.
