Loved doing this project on our PD day, but have not figured out a way to work it into classes, yet, for this year. I'm thinking it would be a great intro to sciencing as school begins next year!

Thank you to the person who wrote up the lesson plan. I can't wait to do this with my fourth grade class. I think we'll need to spend some time establishing rules around pouring the water. In Math Expressions, Unit 5 - lesson 2 is "Metric Measures of Liquid Volume and Mass" and Unit 5 - lesson 5 is "Customary Measures of Weight and Liquid Volume." The biggest mouth activity would be a perfect activity either before or after teaching these lessons.

Great lesson Plan. I hope to include this in a life skills measurement unit which includes liquid volume. it was so much fun at the PD day although the water pouring could prove challenging with my students
